Live Cooking Demonstration at Turning Point Christian Center in Lemmon, SD

The Unboxed team was invited to entertain the Ladies Group at the Turning Point Christian Center in Lemmon, South Dakota. The young chefs were asked to give a live cooking demonstration of French Macarons (pronounced like MacarOns (rhymes with 'horn'). The young chefs first demonstrated to techniques on front of the audience and then the audience got some hands-on cooking experience. The chefs instructed the group on the basic techniques of buttercream and offered up a "fixin's bar" to tweak flavors. The resulting flavors ranged from Nutella and Strawberries to Lemonade to the ever popular Butter Rum and Vanilla (that we dubbed the Harry Potter Butterbeer flavor!) The evening was a light and fun fellowship that produced some beautiful macarons and fun and creative fillings. All in time for Valentine’s Day!!
